Sept 23rd Green Accelerator Project (GAP)

On Sunday, September 23 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., join fellow Rock Springers, park neighbors, Sikh guests, and EcoAction Arlington experts and volunteers for an afternoon of fun, learning, and opportunities to continue the important work of cleaning up and restoring Four Mile Run.

We begin with a pig roast picnic provided by Rock Spring at Picnic Shelter, #1 Pavilion in Glencarlyn Park, then head out in teams to pick up trash, pull out invasive plants, and put in understory plants, guided by experts from EAA and Arlington County. Children can enjoy a scavenger hunt, nominate candidates for the “Ugliest Trash”, and meet some of the creatures we’re helping with our cleanup efforts.

Help us launch GAP with a rousing turnout!
