November 2, 2021 Virginia General Election – Make a Plan to Vote!

Offices on ballot: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, House of Delegates, some local offices (varies by locality).

Important Dates

Friday, September 17 – October 30
Early Voting at local voter registration office (please check your local Elections Board for specific dates; times and location!)
In Arlington, any registered voter can vote early at Courthouse Plaza, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Sept 17 – Oct 30 Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Additional hours (include weekend hours) & locations for Arlington are listed here.

Now through Tuesday, October 12
Deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration. Remember to check your registration if you have moved addresses, have not voted in several years, or are a college student wanting to vote in a place other than where you are registered, or need a mail-in ballot.

Friday, October 22
Deadline to apply for Vote by Mail to have a ballot mailed to you. All voters are eligible. Request must be received by local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m. Arlington-specific information on Vote by Mail is here.

Sunday, October 24,

Tuesday, November 2
Polls are open 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Find your polling place in Arlington or elsewhere in Virginia.
