The second year of Rock Spring’s Produce Bagging Program is collecting, packaging, and delivering more produce than ever! Since May, we have processed more than 3,500 pounds of greens, beans, peppers, tomatoes — even huge hubbard squash and pumpkins! To meet the demand, we could use more volunteers to assist me (Becky Halbe), to package produce, and to deliver the produce (requires a vehicle). Please sign up here to volunteer. Note we are all wearing face masks, caps, gloves (provided), and socially distancing. Volunteers tell me this is one indoor activity in which they feel safe during this ongoing pandemic. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also need paper shopping bags (with handles, preferred). You can drop these off at Carpenter Hall during our bagging times: Mondays and Thursdays, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
