Join us Sunday, July 17th to hear the Rev. Freeman Palmer!

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the  Rev. Freeman L. Palmer, conference minister for the Central Atlantic Conference United Church of Christ.  Rev. Palmer will be preaching at Rock Spring this Sunday on the story of Martha and Mary (Luke 10:39-42).

Rev. Freeman’s background: Originally from Washington, DC, Freeman attended seminary after a 15-year career with CBS, Inc. He had several positions in TV and radio financial management before serving as head of finance and administration of WCBS-AM News radio 880 in New York City. After graduating from Georgetown Day High School in Washington, Freeman’s education includes a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College, an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.Div. with honors from New York Theological Seminary, where he served as comptroller while a student and received a faculty award for excellence in theological studies. He also served two years as chief financial officer of the North Jersey Community Research Initiative, a social service organizations serving people living with HIV/AIDS. Rev. Freeman lives with his spouse, Donal, in Jersey City, NJ. In his spare time, Freeman enjoys traditional and contemporary jazz, reading books ranging from biographies to graphic novels, and watching movies. A prayer that Freeman offers daily is Psalm 143:10: “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your Good Spirit lead me on level ground (NIV).”
