Challenging Racism: Running Against Racism Virtual 5k

May 10, 2021

The COVID crisis and social injustices of 2020 has shined a light on the huge disparities and inequities in our nation rooted in institutional racism. Given the urgency of this issue today, we believe it is critical for our communities to take visible and collective stand against all forms of racism. Challenging Racism’s Annual 5K Running Against Racism can be a way to do that.

HOW DOES A VIRTUAL 5K WORK?

Runners and walkers may complete their 5K anywhere, anytime between May 15-22. Participants are encouraged to upload photos to our web and social media pages to show our solidarity for an inclusive and equitable community.  It is a great outdoor activity to do for families!

Also happening during the event week: Challenging Racism will present a 1-hour virtual discussion on “How to be an Anti-Racist” on 19 May at @7:00 pm via Zoom. All are welcome to participate. Please register by “purchasing” a $0 ticket for this event below, in addition to your registration to race or sponsor.

Registration for participants and sponsors is now open:  http://www.challengingracism.org/cr-virtual5k
