Celebrate International Coastal Waterway Cleanup Weekend by participating in the 6th annual GAP (Green Accelerator Project) stream clean up with us! We will gather by the bridge at Jennie Dean Park in Shirlington starting at noon for a talk with Kurt Moser of the Four Mile Run Conservatory Foundation. EcoAction Arlington will give us an orientation, gloves and bags, and we will begin collecting trash from Four Mile Run starting around 12:30. Feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks, as well as sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle. This all-ages event will include optional opportunities to get into the water or to walk alongside it on land as we beautify the area.

Jennie Dean Park is near AFAC (2708 S Nelson Street, Arlington). Someone will be standing there to direct you to our gathering spot, or you can text Laura at 202-262-2320 if you need help finding the group. Parking is available on the street or in the Shirlington public parking garages, a short walk away. We will gather rain or shine, barring dangerous storms. No need to RSVP, and feel free to invite friends, neighbors, and others to join us!
