Rock Spring Recital Series: S. Yeri So

The Rock Spring Recital Series presents S. Yeri So. Yeri, an accomplished organist, brings a wealth of experience from her diverse musical journey. Having served in various music ministries, choruses, and recitals, her performances have resonated in the DC and Baltimore metro areas, as well as internationally in Austria and South Korea.
Yeri earned her Master of Music degree in Organ Performance at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, where she received the prestigious Bruce R. Eicher Prize in Organ. Her musical journey also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Church Music with a focus on Organ Performance from Seoul Theological University in South Korea. Additionally, she studied under the guidance of Dr. Rudolf Scholz at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts in Austria.
Currently, Yeri serves as the Assistant Director of Music Ministries at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Virginia, showcasing her commitment to enhancing musical experiences within the community.
The program will feature works by Bédard, Brahms, Bach, and Mendelssohn.
The concert is free; donations will be received to benefit the Recital Series and, at the recommendation of the Racial Equity Committee, the Center for Youth and Family Advocacy (CYFA). This Arlington-based nonprofit organization works to promote racial and social equity through training youth in restorative practices, education, and advocacy.
