A “New” Look at Psalms: Injustice and Liberation Then and Now
- Date: Sunday, February 26, 2023
- Time: 11:10am–12:00pm
- Location:Hunter Room 205 (Peace Room)
During the Black History month of February, we will take a look at a few Psalms from the viewpoint of selected African American, Latino and Indigenous writers and theologians. No experience with Psalms – or the Bible – necessary as we explore what these pieces of poetry (yes, poetry!) may feel like and represent in liberation theology. Pop in for one or more sessions! We will integrate some art and music each week. Sessions facilitated by Gail Burnaford.
