Global Mission

This is not your grandparents’ mission effort! Acknowledging that our world will be stronger when we can learn, share and grow together, Rock Spring made a commitment to being a global mission church. A relative newcomer to our wider mission, Offender Aid and Restoration is a community-based restorative justice organization, that blends compassion and accountability to assist offenders in leading productive and responsible lives for the benefit of all.

Aside from regular financial support, members and groups in the congregation volunteer at the Patrick Henry Family Shelter in Fairfax County, working with the families in a variety of ways from tutoring to crafts.

2017 Grant Application Guidelines   

Rock Spring has a strong and growing relationship with the Shirlington Employment and Education Center, known as SEEC, in South Arlington.

The Arlington Food Assistance Center has been connected with Rock Spring from its earliest days and remains a strong partner in feeding the hungry within the county.

Started by a member of the Rock Spring congregation, the Arlington Street People's Assistance Network or "A-SPAN" continues to provide life-sustaining services for Arlington’s street homeless population.

The Green Team

Every month with a fifth Sunday is a special event at Rock Spring including worship and a community wide service project.

Latest News

All current high school students are invited to join in the YoRS Summer Mission Trip. We will be going to Gary, WV July 15-20 with Experience Mission, an organization we have partnered with before.

Rock Spring will explore ways to create a more peaceful world as part of a special “Peace Village” experience on the last 3 Sundays of the summer.
