Giving to Rock Spring

Friends and members of Rock Spring Church support the mission and programs of the church through their time, talent and treasure.

Rock Springers volunteer their time and talent in countless ways, through:

• Teaching Sunday school,
• Coordinating community service programs and projects,
• Helping bring social and eco-justice issues to light,
• Visiting with members of the church in need of ministry and support,
• Tending to the church’s physical property, and
• Serving on boards and committees.

Rock Spring also has a historic tradition of financial generosity, providing the means to support not only our programs and ministry, but also a long list of vital non-profit organizations in our local community, as well as Our Church's Wider Mission (OCWM) - the support program for the global reach of the United Church of Christ.

Annual Giving Campaign

For 95 years Rock Spring congregations have come forward each fall to fulfill the promise of our church’s missions through our Annual Giving Campaign. By completing a Giving Card each year, members provide a good faith promise of financial support the enables the congregation to plan for the opertions, programs and benevolences of the following year, and to make financial committments.

Today our fulfilled promises have resulted in an expanding youth ministry, a comitted social and eco-justice ministry, and a caring ministry of compassion and hope. Continuing these programs into 2008 will require a substantial financial contribution from the congregation—but it is one that we are confident can be achieved through encouraging more members and friends to complete a Giving Card, and by having more givers adopt proportional giving. Proportional giving asks that you and your family gradually move toward giving five percent of your annual income to the church.
