Everyone is Welcome Here

Coal Country Documentary This Wednesday!

Coal Country is a dramatic look at the modern coal mining process of Mountain Top Removal (MTR), in which coal companies blast the tops off mountains to mine the exposed seams of coal.  In Appalachia, where 500 mountains have been leveled, miners and residents are locked in conflict. The film offers views from both sides.

Rock Spring will co-host the Northern Virginia premier of the film documentary Coal Country.  The film will be shown at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington (UUCA) at 4400 Arlington Boulevard.  Parking available in the Mason’s lot. We will gather at 6:30 for refreshments and movie will follow at 7 PM. Discussion after film.
