New 9:30 Adult Offerings
From the Strategic Planning Study in 2007 to last year’s feedback from the Profile Survey, the strong need for engagement in our life of faith, religious education, and spirituality rang loud. This Fall, we are pleased to begin a new time to join together in study and fellowship. These offerings will take place on Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:45, with child care provided.
Our first offering takes place Sundays in October. Susan and Jim Alverson will present a workshop on how to plan a more rewarding Christmas holiday.
Based on the book Unplug the Christmas Machine by Jo Robinson and Jean Staeheli, the workshop will offer ways to reduce stress and increase enjoyment of the holiday season by making simple changes to your celebration. Participants will examine their current practices, define their values, create an ideal Christmas, and then combine their insights into a workable plan for the upcoming holiday season. The workshop is for all Rock Springers -everyone who celebrates Christmas. For planning purposes, if you think you will attend one or more of the four sessions, please sign up in the Saegmuller Room or send an e-mail. This session is co-sponsored by the Board of Christian Education and the Eco-Justice Committee.
